Boulder County provides a variety of volleyball opportunities for all skill levels. There are venues to play sand, grass or hard court volleyball throughout the area. If you are interested in playing sand volleyball, read the article Boulder Active wrote about sand volleyball.

Adult Pick-up Volleyball

Venue : BOULDER VALLEY YMCA

Time : Monday’s 7:00 PM
Skill : Moderate – Competitive

Venue : NORTH BOULDER RECREATION CENTER

Time : Sundays at 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Skill : Moderate – competitive
Price : members: free – nonmembers: $6.75
Age : 18 +

This co-ed pick-up game plays Sundays at 9:30. If weather permits outdoor games are played.

Venue : EAST BOULDER RECREATION CENTER

Time : Wednesday at 1:30 PM – 3PM
Skill : Moderate to competitive
Price : members are free – nonmembers: $6.75
Age : 18 +

Drop-in adult indoor volleyball. Good turnout.

Venue : SPORTS OASIS VOLLEYBALL- THE ISLAND

Skill : Beginner to Competitive
Price : $5.00 to $8.00
Age : Any

This facility includes seven indoor sand courts and three outdoor courts! The facility has several amenities including a heated wash-off area, food and beverage and soft sand. The best times to go are either Thursday or Friday night after 10 PM or 5 PM before league play.

League : YMCA OF BOULDER VALLEY

The Y is offering spring adult volleyball leagues at the Mapleton Y. There is going to be a coed league on Mondays early April 4 to late May. The fee per team is $300. Coed roster must include 2 female players. There will also be a women’s only league on Wednesdays starting April 6-May 25. The fee per team is $300. Lifebridge church in Longmont provides indoor volleyball leagues for adults. The games are usually very friendly, noncompetitive and fun.

League : FLATIRONS VOLLEYBALL CLUB

Flatirons Volleyball Club is a junior girls’ volleyball club with over 13 years of training top athletes from Boulder and the surrounding counties. They are a registered non profit (501c3) organization governed by USA Volleyball. Their primary goal is to teach girls how to become complete athletes on and off the court.

League : SIX DOGS VOLLEYBALL CLUB

Six dogs volleyball emphasizes volleyball fundamentals and skill mechanics which allow each athlete to achieve their highest potential. Six Dogs Volleyball Club is proud to serve young women from the Boulder, Niwot, Longmont, Westminster, Superior, Lafayette, Louisville and outlying areas of Colorado.
